The HR leadership team is focused on building its HR business partnering capability, and is looking for a high potential HR Business Partner to be responsible for an important business unit nationally. The majority of the employees that this role is responsible for are in California.
Based in Los Angeles, this is a business facing role and heavily execution oriented; with substantial exposure to very senior business leaders. This position will foster partnerships across the organization to deliver value added services to management and employees. Key areas of focus include: employee and labor relations, employee communications, recruiting, compensation, benefits, workforce planning, performance management, employee development, safety processes and employment documentation. It is the successor role to the HR Director so preference will be given to applicants who can demonstrate their potential to step up to the next level.
We are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner who has a good understanding of Labor and Employee Relations and a background in the Logistics industry. Some 3PL experience would be ideal. Most important is a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and partner with senior business leaders and HR colleagues. Some managerial experience would be beneficial. He or she should have a solid understanding of all traditional HR tools including staffing, organization design, performance management, HR measurement and legal compliance. Some Safety and Physical Security experience would be desirable.
