This APAC Headquartered highly successful global financial services business is on a high growth trajectory. With over 250 employees globally and assets under management in excess of US $50 Billion, the company has a strong reputation in the market, a new CHRO on board and exciting plans for the future. The CHRO has earmarked the U.S. and UK/Europe as markets where a significant upgrade in HR capabilities is required to support this growth. The Director, International HR Business Partner will be based in New York and will have responsibility for all U.S. and Europe business lines and geographies.

The Role

Reporting to the APAC based CHRO, you will develop, implement and successfully deploy the strategic HR plan for the USA and UK/Europe. This high-impact position provides the opportunity to partner with the most senior business leaders in these locations. The key priorities will be supporting business growth, building the right team and shaping the organization’s people culture. You will work closely with Global Talent and Rewards leaders to implement strategic Talent Acquisition and retention, leadership development, performance management and compensation and benefits initiatives. This global transformation work also requires the implementation of a new HR technology platform. Working across multiple locations, you will manage employee relations issues and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. As part of a high performance, goal-oriented team the scope of the role will continue to expand in line with business growth.  

The Individual

We are looking for a seasoned HR Generalist who is hands-on, strategic and who can partner effectively with HR and business leaders across international locations. A background in Financial Services is desirable, with exposure to Asset Management organizations preferred. Strong numerical understanding, a detail orientation and the ability to execute are vital in this position, as you will make presentations to the Chief Executive and Board. Experience working in a matrix organization with global scope is essential, as are outstanding oral and written communication skills. You should also be able to demonstrate an aptitude for balancing multiple priorities, motivating people and accomplishing goals through others. A good working knowledge of state and national laws that have a bearing on HR in the USA, UK/Europe is a prerequisite.
